I am a middle aged, but quite fit and very young at heart, body and soul man. Like most people my (our) age, I have had my fair share of the good times and the bad times that life dishes out.
I have done my hard yards and know exactly who I am and what I want from life. I have absolutely no hang ups. My life's baggage is sorted and well packed away .
I am very confident and sure of myself but am not arrogant or cocky. I am very respectful of others and expect the same in return.
I am currently separated but not yet divorced. I don`t intend putting my life on hold until it all gets sorted out, it will take a while.
I am definitely not looking to get married again, and of course I am not ready for a long term serious relationship right now. I will be ready again one day, don`t know right now when, but will know when the time is right.
Right now I am looking to have fun generally . Fun does not mean only what you may think it means at first glance although fun definitely includes it but only if all else falls into place first. See below.
I love cycling. I cycle to and from work each day, and on most weekends, provided that its not freezing cold or raining.
I love playing chess, both social and competitively. I am not a beginner at it.
I love dining out, but hate cooking. ( If you can cook up a storm I am your fan for life!).
I love my work (legal and financial services). It stimulates me tremendously and keeps me on my toes. I often work very late hours and its not unusual for me to be at my office at midnight or much later! Not every day though...Everything has its limits.
Movies, theatre, shows, playing sport, watching TV, entertaining, going to the beach (swimming and walking) are all my thing. I am very versatile and I will give most things a go. I prefer to avoid things that have too high a risk of ending my life prematurely or putting me in a wheelchair. but on the other hand, ....... we have to die from something. There's something to be said for going out in flames in your prime instead of with a whimper and once we`ve lost our marbles, right?
If you are prepared to do with me the things that I like, I will do whatever you like, even if I`m not crazy about it. So, even though dancing is not right up there for me, I`ll do it if its your thing.
I like and need my own company a lot. But I love the company of others, and especially, attractive, well groomed elegant, intelligent woman who can hold a conversation, who have a sense of humour, who know how to laugh and who are generally fun to be with.
I love the smell of a well groomed, attractive woman! Nice clothes and especially shoes (heels) do it for me. Flip flops , shorts and a T shirt for a night out on the town are a complete no-no. That does not mean that some nights we can`t curl up in front of the TV with our Sunday worst.
There has to be instant, electricity/chemistry between me and whoever I am with , otherwise I get bored quickly and politely do a disappearing act. Smoking is a complete deal breaker.
I am looking to meet and have fun with ladies in the 45 upwards age group. Below 45 is just too young. There is no upper age limit provided all other criteria are met.
Remember, fun is some combination of all of the above, not just THAT! If it were just that, truly, I would not be on this website. There are other websites for that.
