A grounded seeker of truth, an explorer (I would love to travel more around the top end of Australia, and I have a deep connection to the UK so would like to go back there one day too), a keen gardener (I cant emphasize that enough!), an admirer of nature in all her forms (the rain forests and rivers have always held such a special energy for me and a perfect day includes a wander through the trees and a bare foot paddle through a creek).
I am a supportive listener, a diligent hard worker, a lifetime student, a lover of great conversation, especially over a cup of GrunTea or a soy chai latte in a caf or out under a tree somewhere beautiful. I can also enjoy the gentle supportive silences between the words, the intuitive connection that forms between two people of like minds who are comfortable with whom they are and who they are with.
I balance a very interesting full-time job as a Project Manager (I have recently managed a small subdivision and a house renovation) with studying Ageless Wisdom traditions written about by Alice Bailey alongside meditations, a simple, healthful, delicious vegan lifestyle, plenty of rainforest time and service to others.
I live in a large shared house where we are all studying and meditating together, and we hope to move to our own property soon. There is nothing like living with supportive, like-minded people who respect and love each other, our planet and all who live on her.
Its interesting walking this path that I have chosen and beats watching TV, going to the pub, fishing, sports games...you get the idea (although I so enjoy a good DVD or a trip to the movies from time to time.) I have no plans to slow down/take things easy anytime soon! So join me in exploring our slice of paradise, I would love to visit the outback, and Uluru, and Darwin, and the Daintree, the Tablelands, and Chillagoe, the many beaches up and down our coastline, the waterfalls, the rain forests ,you get the idea!
You may have noticed that I am from New Zealand, I moved here in 2006 and Australia has been my home ever since. I hope to live out my days here although a trip back to NZ in the winter occasionally reminds me why I love Australia so much, she is anchored firmly in my heart but there is plenty of room in there too for the right person.
I am missing though a deeper connection with a like-minded man based in the wider Cairns region of Australia (sorry to all you Americans) who is around my age and if you had some similar interests that would be a great place to start. And did I mention a kind sense of humour? I am tall and slim and hope you too are of a similar build, fit and active, with a healthy lifestyle
So, moving right along, someone who can hold a conversation but listen well too when it matters, confident, and kind , open to new ideas and different ways to live now and in the future, and comfortable with talking about things need to be discussed and not afraid to bring up the conversation, in a gentle and supportive way.
I am very conscious about the impact that we each have on the planet and it would be lovely if you too were aware of all that true harmlessness entails, including not poisoning your body with tobacco, alcohol or drugs.
Ultimately you would be a man who would love and respect me for who I am, allowing me space to grow, supportive through challenges, loyal and open to all the wonderful things that come along with a loving relationship.
